Quality Assurance/Sanitation Worker Pay: $25-28/Hour Location: Kent, WA Shift: 8:00PM-4:30AM Job Description This graveyard position is a blend of Quality Assurance (QA) and sanitation responsibilities. The role involves 20% QA duties, primarily documenting the processes of an outside company that cleans certain machines, ensuring they follow proper cleaning procedures. The remaining 80% of the role focuses on sanitation, which includes taking apart, cleaning, and reassembling machines in the facility on a rotating quarterly schedule. The position requires good computer and email skills, comfort with basic hand and power tools, and the ability to work alone in a wet and cold environment. Responsibilities Document and monitor the cleaning procedures of an outside company to ensure compliance. Follow a document checklist to verify the proper mixture and usage time of chemical cleaning solutions. Take apart, clean, and reassemble machines in the facility on a rotating quarterly schedule. Use basic hand and power tools to perform sanitation tasks. Follow instructions and hand-scrub equipment as needed. Work independently for the majority of the shift in a wet and cold environment. Work Environment The plant has a total of 75 employees working across two shifts, focusing on fresh and raw sausage production. The environment is refrigerated, with floor temperatures around 45 degrees. The graveyard shift requires working alone for most of the shift, except when performing QA documentation with the outside crew.
