Fifth time in Top 20 St. Cloud named Healthiest Hometown - AARP St. Cloud VAMC - 4801 Veterans Drive, St. Cloud, MN 56303 REQUIREMENTS (duties include but are not limited to) Provide face-to-face initial psychiatric assessment, medication management, evidenced-based therapies, and specialized consolations to veterans presenting to the facility. Create treatment plans for all patients seen in both the outpatient and inpatient departments. Will be assigned to either department as needed. The psychiatrist is expected to see up to 15 patients per day providing medication management, assessment, and/or psycho-therapy during inpatient and emergent department visits. QUALIFICATIONS Must hold a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited graduate school of Medicine. Must have successfully completed a residency program in psychiatry which has been approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education or the Committee on Postdoctoral Training of the American Osteopathic Association or those Canadian training programs approved by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or other appropriate Canadian medical authority. Must be board certified in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology or the American Osteopathic Association. Must be in good standing, and under no restrictions, with the state licensure board in any state in which a license is held. Must maintain current certification in American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers.
