Hill International is seeking a Structures Representative in San Jose, California

  • Manage construction of bridges and structural components of transportation projects
  • Review falsework design, perform trenching and shoring reviews and evaluations, prestressing shop drawings, concrete mix design and bridge surveying
  • Contract documentation, processing change orders, coordinating with designer and resolve field issues
  • Lead all aspects of structure contract administration including staffing, meeting with contractors and agencies, partnering and coordinating with bridge and District designers to resolve field issues
  • Create and present structural overviews for upcoming projects and develop reports that include technical details for engineers and analysis and cost estimates for project managers and senior executives
  • Participate in initial planning and bidding processes
  • Responsible for monitoring staff to confirm that contractors' responsibilities are monitored and controlled in accordance with project plans, specifications and requirements


  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering , Construction Management, or equivalent
  • 20+ years of experience in construction management of heavy civil engineering projects
  • Experience in administering Caltrans Structures Construction projects
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of California required Experience with construction of bridges, retaining walls, deep foundation, MSE walls, culverts and sign structures
  • Have an in depth understanding of the Caltrans Standard Specifications
  • Ability to perform duties in construction field office and ability to solve field issues
  • Valid California Class C driver's license
  • Position is on-site in Santa Clara County

The salary range for this position is $228,000-$260,000. The offered salary will be based on the applicants qualifications, education, experience and work location.
