Position Overview:
The Corporate marketing communications manager is responsible for leading the communications team in continually enhancing the Mactac image, increasing brand awareness, and sales support through advertisements, media, partnership, etc. Providing strategic input and direction for the brand, developing promotional content both internally and externally, managing third party vendor relationships, event coordination, developing campaigns while keeping the company's vision, mission, and objectives in mind; and advising internal and external stakeholders.

The Corporate marketing communications manager is responsible for leading the communications team in continually enhancing the Mactac image, increasing brand awareness, and sales support through advertisements, media, partnership, etc. Providing strategic input and direction for the brand, developing promotional content both internally and externally, managing third party vendor relationships, event coordination, developing campaigns while keeping the company's vision, mission, and objectives in mind; and advising internal and external stakeholders.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage and direct the development of strategic communications plans, identify key messages, and drive the production of high-impact materials that effectively convey timely and relevant information to diverse audiences across all business units.
- Lead workshops, planning and strategy sessions across all business units and oversee the communication team's execution.
- Manage the communications department relationships with key functions including graphic design, brand management, digital communications (SEO, social media, eblasts, website, etc.) and marketing coordination (trade shows, meetings, townhalls, webinars and advertising).
- Lead media strategy. Formulate proactive press and social media strategy and cultivate/sustain effective working relations with news editors, and journalists to create venues in which to position Mactac as a thought leader in adhesives.
- Lead communications efforts for M&A activity, creating and deploying end-to-end communications strategies, from signing through integration, and driving alignment across stakeholder groups.
- Drive internal communications that keep employees informed on the business's initiatives and integrates external communications and activities across all areas of the organization.
- Serve as communications partner to all levels of management, including HR, Operations and Supply Chain, to deliver communication strategies and content that effectively engage employees and other key stakeholders.
- Serve as communications partner to collaborate with internal clients across the business to design, implement, and measure communications programs and activities that drive business results.
- Champion employee engagement and collaboration through new and existing enterprise channels, including Yammer, town hall meetings, Great Place to Work special events and more.
- Build a more transparent and open communications culture through strategic manager communications and toolkits that connect leaders to key business priorities and empower them to be effective communicators to promote a sense of community across all audiences.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience in leading and managing cross-functional teams at a high performance
- Strategic thinking and problem solving- ability to take initiative, make decisions and difficult recommendations.
- Superior writing, editing and verbal communication skills.
- Can quickly assimilate strategy, identify desired outcomes, and generate solutions to positively impact the business against tight timelines.
- Able to handle multiple projects simultaneously with a high degree of quality, speed, and flexibility for change.
- High tolerance for ambiguity, must process and prioritize potentially conflicting objectives.
- Results driven; able to meet deadlines and establish clear priorities quickly.
- Highly collaborative position, requires strong ability to influence, cooperate.
- Strong executive presence with the ability to present ideas, make recommendations, provide rationale, and advise leaders and their teams on communications
- Commitment to always maintaining discretion and confidentiality when dealing with sensitive or proprietary information
- Ability to travel 20%, on average, based on the work you do and the industries you serve
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Professional with demonstrated communications and project management skills with a minimum of 10+ years relevant experience
- A Bachelor's degree (preferably in Communications, English, or Public Relations) is required
