Slalom is looking for an experienced consulting leader (Senior Director - Managing Director) to serve the Power, Utilities, & New Energy Industry across TOLA (Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Arkansas). As a Client Partner, you'll be at the forefront of our business expansion, focusing on developing profitable business strategies, and fostering high-value client relationships. Drawing on Power, Utilities, & New Energy industry experience, you will position the portfolio for success, fostering collaboration and mentoring talent. This role requires a blend of industry acumen, strategic thinking and relationship-building.

This is a Houston OR Dallas-Fort Worth based role and you must be located within commutable distance of the Greater Houston OR DFW area. Ability to travel up to 15%, on average, based on clients you serve. Most travel will be concentrated within the greater TOLA region.

What You'll Do
  • Market Expansion: Develop and execute comprehensive strategies to enhance market share and profitability, specifically within our Power, Utilities, & New Energy portfolio.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities across existing and new clients within the Power, Utilities, & New Energy portfolio.
  • Relationship Building: Cultivate robust relationships with senior client executives, and Power, Utilities, & New Energy industry leaders. Your ability to connect and collaborate will be instrumental in driving success.
  • Client Negotiations: Lead negotiations and successfully close deals with major clients. Ensure alignment with financial and operational objectives.
  • Profitability: Will maximize and be responsible for profitability through sound solutions, delivery, optimization of Power, Utilities, & New Energy portfolio team and negotiating deals tied to business value.
  • Trend Analysis: Continuously analyze market and industry trends and competitor activities. Adapt strategies to maintain our competitive advantage.
  • Collaborate with Marketing: Collaborate closely with the marketing team to create targeted campaigns aligned with our business development goals.
  • Team Leadership: Provide clear leadership and guidance to the business development team. Optimize team's efforts and focus to maximize outcomes. Set performance goals and monitor achievements.
  • Industry Representation: Act as our ambassador at Power, Utilities, & New Energy industry conferences, networking events, and professional associations. Enhance Slalom's brand visibility and build new connections.

What You'll Bring
  • At least 10 years of Power, Utilities, & New Energy industry-specific business development experience with a focus on successful deals and revenue growth.
  • 5+ years' experience in a leadership role within consulting services industry supporting Power, Utilities, & New Energy customers
  • Demonstrated ability to create and execute innovative business development strategies, resulting in substantial revenue growth and market expansion.
  • A keen understanding of Power, Utilities, & New Energy industry trends, emerging technologies, and market dynamics. Ability to translate this knowledge into strategic decisions and portfolio adjustments.
  • Understanding of revenue generation and ability to manage portfolio financials for growth and profitability.
  • Proven experience in orchestrating complex business transformations across diverse technologies and capabilities.
  • Robust networking skills complemented by an extensive senior-level contact network.
  • Exhibiting leadership skills with a focus on nurturing talent. Exemplify leadership, coaching and create an exceptional experience for our people to set the tone for success.
  • Outstanding abilities in communication, negotiation, and presentation to convey ideas and build relationships and embrace diverse viewpoints.
  • Power, Utilities, & New Energy industry thought leadership through speeches, publications, and mentoring. Active engagement with the industry community to unlock new business opportunities.
