Adelphi is seeking a Psychiatrist to perform duties for a county jail in Williamson, Texas. The Psychiatrist will provide comprehensive psychiatric care to incarcerated individuals, ensuring the delivery of high-quality mental health services in a correctional setting. Job Quick Facts: - Reference #: BD-649-01 - Profession: Physician - Specialty: Psychiatry - Location: Williamson County, Texas - Facility Type: Jail - Coverage type: On-Site - Job Type: Contract - Contract Duration: 4 years - Schedule: Minimum of 16 hours/week - Start Date: N/A - Compensation: $250 - $285/hr Requirements: - Doctoral or post-graduate degree - Active Texas License - BE/BC Responsibilities: - Provider will provide out-patient psychiatric attention to all inmates requiring such attention. - Provider shall prescribe medication per the Sheriff s Office s defined psychotropic medication formulary. - Provider shall develop and write standing orders for use by the jail staff in the handling of the psychiatric needs of the inmates. - Provider shall utilize the EMR (Electronic Medical Record) system provided by Williamson County. - Provide consultation and guidance to other healthcare providers and correctional staff regarding the mental health needs of inmates. - Respond to psychiatric emergencies and provide crisis intervention as needed. - Provider will coordinate care with the contracted Medical Director and Williamson County Jail Medical Supervisor. - Stay current with advancements in psychiatric care and participate in continuing education opportunities.
