Emergency Medicine Physician

ER physician needed in West Burlington, IA! Rate is $250/hour * Evening shift ( 12p to 12a or 1p to 1a) * 17% of ED patients admitted to the hospital per day * 2% of ED patients transferred per day * 27 beds * 8 ED physicians in group * No fast track in ED * All ages - pediatric, adolescent, adult, geriatric * EMR: Cerner * Level 4 Trauma * ED staff responds to house codes - there are hospitalists 24/7, ED doctors respond to codes * Deliveries are sent directly to Labor and Delivery, not received in ED * ED is responsible for monitoring/supervising paramedics/ambulance by radio * 24-hour availability for Radiology, Laboratory, OR, Anesthesia * Surgical Services: CT, Vascular, Ortho * Description of consultants: Radiologist, Critical Care Intensivist, Cardiologist, Pulmonologist, Neurologist, Urologist, Hem/Onc, Psychiatrist * ED sees about 80 to 100 patients in a 24 hour shift. A typical day has 5 providers on per 24 hours * Housing, flight, and rental car provided * Board Certified/Board Eligible - Required (client not currently considering IM/FM) * Active IA license - Required * ATLS (preferred), ACLS, BLS, PALS - Required by start date * Must have 1-2 years experience If you are interested please call or text Molly Tanner with Howard Sloan at or email me at
