Job Description

WSP is looking for an Intermediate Structural Engineer (P.Eng.) to contribute to a diverse portfolio of projects across the residential, public, and industrial sectors.

The ideal candidate will bring technical knowledge and a track record of successful project delivery. As an Intermediate Structural Engineer, you will oversee the design and construction of various projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and client requirements.

This role is a hybrid position based in GTA area.

Key Responsibilities :
  • Analysis and design of Timber, Steel, and Concrete Structures;
  • Analysis and design of foundation systems;
  • Structural Design and preparation of construction drawings and structural calculations;
  • Visit project sites and perform construction reviews;
  • Interact with clients, design partners, and contractors;
  • Write technical reports and assist in proposal preparations;
  • Support project management, ensuring the projects are delivered on time and within budget.


Qualifications :
  • B.Sc. Degree in Civil Engineering;
  • Professional Engineering Licence in Ontario (primary requirement);
  • 5 to 8 years of structural design experience in consulting engineering firms;
  • Knowledge of CSA design standards, and National/ Ontario Building Codes, specifically Parts 9 and 4;
  • Eligible for federal security clearance;
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary environment and adapt to changing project requirements;
  • Working knowledge of structural analysis and design software such as WoodWorks, S-Frame, SAP2000, SAFE, etc.;
  • Familiar with AutoCAD and Revit Structure;
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Possess a valid Full-G driver's license.
