Who You'll Work With:
We are seeking a Nashville based Alternatives Operations Analyst to join our Alternatives Infrastructure & Operations team within Global Technology & Operations.
The Alternatives Infrastructure & Operations team ("Alts Ops") aligns with AB's Alternatives Business Development unit and reports into Operations & IT. Alts Ops supports approximately $17 billion of alternative investment products and complex fund structures including private equity, private credit, hedge funds, fund of funds, co-invests, business trusts, business development corporations, and other commingled vehicles domiciled in Cayman, Delaware, Ireland, Luxembourg, and beyond. Investment strategies include Private Credit/Middle Market Loans, Real Estate, Emerging Equity, Energy, Multi-Manager, etc.
What You'll Do:
The Alternatives Operations Analyst will work with the Alternatives Operations Manager and is responsible for supporting AI Ops' team deliverables and mandates. The analyst will have ownership of and provide support for the existing alternative funds to ensure timely and accurate processing of all investor level transactions and values on daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting cycles. They will also assist senior team members with regular tasks and special projects.

AllianceBernstein.com - institutional client portal
Report Center - client reporting system
AB Advantage - operations system

Key job responsibilities include, but are not limited to
Additional responsibilities include data maintenance, documentation, and active monitoring of investor and fund level activity for multiple funds across AB's portfolio, accounting, and related systems. Working in close conjunction with multiple third-party service providers including administrators, custodians, and lenders, the analyst will provide oversight to ensure prompt and accurate processing of investor requests and transactions, which may include address changes, settlements, cash disbursements, and receipts. They will also oversee the full life-cycle of private equity activity including closes on commitments, capital calls, distributions, and assignments of interests.
Over time, the analyst will acquire subject matter expertise on specific fund terms, systems, day-to-day processes, investor holdings, and related data for some of the firm's most innovative and complex products. With this knowledge base, they will act as a liaison to various departments and assist by providing insight and solutions to complicated questions and challenges. The analyst may also represent the AI Ops team on new fund launch initiatives and contribute ideas for structuring and reducing time to market. With the goal of iterative progress, the analyst should ultimately advocate their observations and recommendations for further advancement of AB Alternatives platform.

What We're Looking For:
BA/BS in Accounting, Computer Science, Finance, Mathematics, or related business field
Minimum 2-3 years of professional experience, ideally in investor operations at a hedge fund, private equity, or related provider
Strong business aptitude, including written, verbal, and presentation communications; project and time management skills
Proven ability to multi-task across projects/requests, work well under time demands, and drive to deadlines
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and propensity to quickly learn new applications, processes, and areas of business
Skills
Adept at data analysis and quickly illustrating transaction path scenarios via basic Excel models, simulations, and calculations
Client-focused with sense of ownership and follow-through
Skilled in building and managing relationships with business, management, and other key stakeholders
Detail-oriented, with strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Highly motivated with the ability to work effectively independently and within a team
Confident, yet humble with ability to listen, build consensuses with persons of varying backgrounds, knowledge, management levels, etc., and drive for results

Familiarity with SQL is a plus

Firm grasp of hedge funds and private equity concepts including capital commitments, capital calls, distributions, assignment of interest, lock-ups, gated redemptions
Solid understating of financial services industry, including regulatory, regional, operational, transaction processing, cost-basis accounting, and reporting
Market knowledge across equities, fixed income, multi-asset, and/or alternative strategies, including hedge funds, private equity, and real estate
Understanding of US and International wire transfer systems and accounts including, ACH, Fedwire, ABA, IBAN, SWIFT, Sort Code
