The PositionWe are seeking an ETF specialist responsible for promoting AB ETFs to clients. This individual will collaborate with and support the AB external sales professionals in the representation and sale of AB’s ETF product suite.  This new hire will assist in raising awareness of AB’s ETF capabilities. The successful candidate will possess in-depth ETF, investment and market knowledge, product presentation skills, analytical abilities, and advanced selling skills.LocationNew York, NY or Nashville, TNReporting RelationshipBrett Sheely, Head of ETF SpecialistsNoel Archard, Global Head of ETFs and Portfolio SolutionsRole and ResponsibilitiesBuild the market awareness and presence of AB’s ETF platform, by crafting unique selling points, presenting relevant product updates and insights, developing educational content, and devising compelling marketing narratives.Serve as the main point of contact for the sales and client service teams to arrange calls/meetings, manage follow‐ups, demonstrate deep investment knowledge, and identify and address client concerns.Lead individual investor calls to articulate product performance, portfolio construction, and expected outcome scenarios.Present at industry conferences, client meetings, roadshows, and on sales calls.Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure content is accurate and scale messaging.Constantly seek to build relationships through appropriate follow-up, gaining a thorough understanding of investors’ internal approval processes and how allocations fit in the context of their overall portfolios.Manage relationships with private wealth platforms and continually develop relationships at the management, research team and advisory team levels.Manage relationships with ETF allocators and continually develop relationships at the management, research team and advisory team levels.Promote sharing and exchange of industry knowledge and trends across the sales and specialist teams and greater organization including assisting with developing key marketing strategies and their execution.Leverage the company resources in the execution of duties, including external wholesalers, capital markets team, investment experts, product management and marketing.Develop and author content for use with financial advisors and home offices due diligence teams, including thought leadership pieces, market commentaries, product positioning, case studies, and due diligence RFPs.Provide intelligence on investor sentiment and competitive landscape.Develop strategies around product launches and the fundraising approach for new products and work in coordination with sales professionals and other members of the marketing team to raise capital from existing and new investors.Drive strategic initiatives including the evaluation of new investment strategies, sizing new market opportunities, and identifying enhancements to our product offering.Experience, Skills, and Personal Qualities4+ years of sales/specialist experience with ETFs.Demonstrated record of driving success in sales of ETFs, achievement of sales goals in the intermediary channel.Possess an in-depth understanding of the ETF and investment products industry, financial concepts, product knowledge, investment management, and client-service strategies.Ability to interact with intermediary clients and prospects to educate them on the AB product suite, individual product positioning, and AB’s value proposition in relation to the competitive landscape.Ability to conduct both web-based and in-person presentations with a high degree of proficiency and credibility.Ability to meet activity metric and sales goals objectives.Excellent verbal communications skills.Proficient sales pipeline management skills.Advanced understanding and experience in the usage of investment analytics, tools (e.g., Morningstar, Bloomberg).Be able to prioritize client projects and requests effectively.Has the breadth of product knowledge necessary in order to act as AB key contact for the ETF suite.Skilled in consulting to clients, managing relationships, obtaining and processing information required to provide services and sales support.Ability to travel as needed for product presentations, road shows, lead follow-up and conference attendance.Education and CredentialsBA/BS degree.Advanced credentials preferred (or in process) such as CFA, CFP, CAIA.Appropriate FINRA licenses required (7 & 63).About ABWe are a leading global investment management firm offering high-quality research and diversified investment services to institutional clients, retail investors, and private-wealth clients in major markets around the globe. Base salary is just one component of total compensation at AB, which may include, depending on eligibility, commissions, year-end incentive compensation, short- and long-term incentives and Department-specific awards.
