In this position, you'll not only work extensively from Web UI to application layer to the database, but also become familiar with the hardware Apple develops down to the chip registers. We are looking for a full stack web engineer who is strong in web application development, loves to learn and dive deep into problems, and obsesses over great user and developer experiences.DescriptionAs a full stack web engineer you will have responsibilities spanning all phases of web app design, development, and deployment. You will be working on internal facing web apps that process thousands of requests and hundreds of gigabytes of data an hour, as well developing internal tools that facilitate the programming of firmware, and testing of those low-level drivers. You constantly apply the best practices of software development, such as code reviews, continuous integration, and automated testing. You have worked closely with management and end-users to define requirements and tasks from ambiguous requests. Minimum QualificationsExpertise building server and client-side web applications with JavaScript / NodeJS, HTML, and CSSExpertise with JavaScript single page apps using React & TypeScriptExperience consuming and developing RESTful APIsGeneral knowledge of networking protocols HTTP/1 & HTTP/2 (GET, POST), cookies and other HTTP headersExperience working with database and blob storage technologies (PostgreSQL, S3, sqlite)Preferred QualificationsExperience programming with Python, C, TypescriptExperience with ConfluenceExperience with testing frameworks like mochaExperience with app containerization, tuning, optimization, deployment, and performance of workloads running in a cloud environment (Kubernetes, Docker, Helm)Pay & BenefitsAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $121,900 and $214,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
