Job Summary:The Sr. Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) will lead the financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and analysis functions for a consumer packaged goods (CPG) company. This senior leadership role requires strategic insight, strong financial acumen, and the ability to drive business decisions through data-driven analysis. The Sr. Director of FP&A will partner with cross-functional teams, providing critical financial insights to support the company's growth, profitability, and operational efficiency.Key Responsibilities:Lead the FP&A team in developing, implementing, and managing the company's financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to the executive leadership team, influencing key business decisions and driving profitability.Analyze financial performance against key business metrics and identify areas for improvement in margin, cost control, and overall efficiency.Collaborate with department heads to develop annual budgets and long-term financial plans, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy.Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including variance analysis and commentary on performance against forecasts.Lead scenario analysis and financial modeling to assess potential business opportunities, risks, and investment initiatives.Drive continuous improvement of FP&A processes, tools, and systems, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting and analysis.Serve as a key business partner to operations, marketing, sales, and supply chain teams, providing financial insights and decision support.Manage the preparation of board-level presentations and reports, ensuring clear and concise communication of financial performance and strategic initiatives.Stay informed of industry trends, market conditions, and competitive landscape, providing insights into how external factors may impact the company's financial performance.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.10+ years of experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a senior FP&A role within the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry.Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting skills, with a proven track record of driving financial performance in a dynamic environment.Experience managing and developing high-performing teams, with strong leadership and interpersonal skills.Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex financial data into actionable insights.Advanced proficiency with financial planning software (e.g., Hyperion, SAP BPC) and Excel.Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.Preferred Qualifications:Experience in M&A financial analysis, integration, and due diligence.Knowledge of CPG industry trends, market dynamics, and consumer behavior analytics.Experience working in a private equity-backed or publicly traded company environment.Discipline(s): Technical OperationsJob type: Permanent
