Summary:The Sr. Cost Accountant will be responsible for CMO site accounting including cost and inventory accounting, fixed assets, departmental accruals, and monthly close activities. This position will provide timely, accurate and relevant financial information and ensure insights are provided to the business. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by an individual assigned to this job. Other duties may be assigned.Perform CMO monthly product costing and inventory accounting close including but not limited to:Prepare month-end journal entries and account reconciliations for inventoryDetermine inventory reserves and document conclusionsPrepare balance sheet analytics for appropriate accountsPrepare documentation including trends, variance analysis, spend by department, and analysis of budget versus actualPrepare detailed margin analytics, product costs and key performance indicators with explanations of business driversTimely report on manufacturing variances including material, labor and overhead variances and product costing actual versus forecastInteract with external and internal auditors, prepare, and provide documentation for annual audits and SOXPerform CMO product costing and inventory accounting including but not limited to:Standard cost developmentAnnual inventory countsImplement any necessary system changes related to inventory sub-ledgerSubject matter expert for general ledger costing and inventoryCollaborate with Supply Chain to ensure proper set up in system (Store codes, BOM, Part ID's, etc.)Develop and document policies and procedures for monthly inventory system closeServe as the Finance liaison with CMO and Pacira management Review bill-backs from our contract manufacturer(s)Facilitate dispute resolutionsTrain the business on financial inventory policies and proceduresProvide support on business decisions by performing financial analysis Maintain and Monitor inventory intercompany process, which includes maintaining transfer prices for intercompany sales, monitoring inventory activity to ensure proper elimination of intercompany transactions, and preparing eliminations entries as necessaryParticipate in the annual audit and inventory counts, ensuring adherence to finance and accounting policies consistent with GAAP and SEC requirements and compliance with SOX 404 standardsOther ad hoc analysis / projects as deemed appropriate Supervisory Responsibilities:No supervisory responsibilities Interaction: Travel estimated at 5% Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance from accredited college or university, CPA, or MBA a plus Minimum of 3 years of related experience in Finance or Accounting, including cost accounting experience Process Manufacturing and/or Pharmaceuticals is a plus Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: General accounting principles and the preparation and implementation of accounting policies, systems, and proceduresGAAP and SOX with an understanding of internal accounting controls and preparing and implementing accounting controls and proceduresCost and Inventory AccountingDemonstrated analytical abilitiesExcellent oral and written English communication skillsExperience working in a fast-paced environmentFlexibility regarding working hours to allow for UK time differencesProven ability to manage multiple projects, set priorities and meet deadlinesHigh proficiency in MS Office including Excel (expert level), Word, Power Point Benefits: Medical, Prescription, Dental, Vision CoverageFlexible Spending Account & Health Savings Account with Company matchEmployee Assistance ProgramMental Health ResourcesDisability CoverageLife insuranceCritical Illness and Accident InsuranceLegal and Identity Theft ProtectionPet InsuranceFertility and Maternity Assistance401(k) with company matchFlexible Time Off (FTO) and 11 paid holidaysPaid Parental LeaveEEO Statement:
