Join XDefiant and show us your game security skills and help us lock out the losers who need cheats to even be on the leader board.We are looking for a highly talented, motivated, and experienced person to work with us on XDefiant, a new multiplatform online multiplayer action game based in our San Francisco studio. XDefiant is a free-to-play, fast-paced arena shooter that combines intense gunplay with personalized loadouts and specialized factions, as teams of gunfighters battle for domination.You will be entrusted with protecting the game client from hacks and exploits, hardening the code and data running on the player’s PC, and blocking people who want to cheat the system. You will be an essential part of a team holding the player’s connected experience as the core of its mission, ensuring that players compete on a level playing field.You’ll also be part of the diverse Ubisoft San Francisco team. We embrace a variety of work situations based on what is best for the team, and we welcome people working in our SF office, remotely within the continental US, or some combination of the two. We put a priority on supporting our team members and what makes them happiest and most productive.WHAT YOU'LL DOSecure the game client and its interactions with the game serversIntegrate and maintain external anti-cheat tools and services in the game engineInvestigate exploits and cheats happening in our game and othersCollaborate with other engineers to improve the game’s securityEducate content creators and gameplay engineers on how to maximize game securityMaintain and extend documentation on security best practicesQualificationsWHAT YOU'LL BRINGC/C++ experience with understanding of multi-threaded programming techniquesExperience with off-the-shelf anti-cheat products, such as Easy Anti-Cheat or BattleyeLow-level experience with Windows and the ways exploits take advantage of the OSAn autonomous, problem-solving, and open-minded attitudeDebugging and analytical skillsSelf-directed, focused, and detail-oriented work skillsLearn more about XDefiant here -

The base pay offered may vary based on a candidate’s geographic region, qualifications, skills and experience among other factors.
