At Apple, we combine product management/development and product marketing responsibilities into a single, cross functional Product Management role that collaborates with design, engineering, finance, legal, marketing communications, public relations, market research, sales and support for maximum impact across the organization. We are looking for a highly motivated Product Manager to join the Worldwide Product Marketing team to support iPhone and iPhone accessories. DescriptionIn this role, you will: - Collaborate with hardware engineering, software engineering, softgoods engineering and design teams to define roadmap and strategy - Negotiate and influence product trade-offs impacting schedule and usability to improve user experience and consumer differentiation - Understand your product technologies several layers deep and be able to clearly communicate them with knowledgable insight - Launch and drive momentum for new technologies and features in conjunction with marketing communications, corporate communications, events, and developer relations teams - Serve as an ambassador for iPhone and Accessories technologies through press briefings and customer visits - Position iPhone in the competitive landscape and craft compelling messaging to encourage customer adoption to drive business growth - Research and synthesize technology trends, competitive trends, and user feedback to identify new product and technology opportunities Minimum Qualifications4+ years experience in product marketing and/or product management roles, including at least one entire product development cycle from concept to launchPreferred QualificationsProven record working collaboratively with cross-functional teams; with engineering/technical teams including during early research and development to define product strategy and roadmap, and with marketing and public relations to craft positioning, and define marketing activitiesA track record in formulating product messaging and creating outbound marketing; Experience synthesizing technologies into product communication for broad audiences including customers, media, analysts, and leading industry specialistsStrong understanding of the smartphones and smartphone accessory technology domains and a sense of curiosity to dive several layers deepBest-in-class oral and written communication skills; ability to become fluent in technical concepts and explain to non-technical partnersStrong ability to lead through influence, debate and storytellingPress and media experience with success as a product spokesperson on a national or global levelExceptional interpersonal skills; thrives in highly collaborative projects, effective at building consensus, handles high stakes decisions with ease with the ability to cut through ambiguityStrong analytical abilities and an uncompromising attention to detail with the ability to operate seamlessly between highly detailed and technical situations and strategic business situationsA self-starter who is dedicated and demonstrates creative and critical thinking abilitiesBS/BA and/or MBAPay & BenefitsAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $136,300 and $248,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
