Specilaity: Anesthesiology Location: Pennsylvania Position Type: Locum Tenens, Full-Time Position Overview: We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Anesthesiologist to join our team on a locum tenens basis. This position is based at a Level II trauma center, supporting a dynamic Anesthesiology department with a diverse caseload. Position Highlights: Shifts: 9-hour shifts, Monday to Friday, starting at 6:30 AM On-Call Requirement: Night and weekend in-house call shifts available, including: Weekday calls: 7 PM 7:30 AM Weekend calls: 24-hour shifts from 7 AM 7 AM (can be split into 12-hour shifts if preferred) Caseload: General Anesthesia, Cardiac, OB, Peds, and Neuro Daily Volume: Approximately 40 hours per week with additional call shifts as needed Support: Mostly CRNA supervision, though hands-on experience may be required Schedule: 20 shifts per month, Monday through Friday. Requirements: Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology (must be within 3 years of residency if BE) Experience: Minimum of 1 year, with comfort in handling all case types including cardiac, OB, pediatrics, and general cases Licensure: Pennsylvania license preferred, but not required (IMLC or assistance available) Benefits: Travel & Lodging: Mileage, airfare, lodging, parking, rental car, and ground transportation covered EMR System: Cerner The hospital is an advanced facility with a supportive environment for anesthesiology professionals.
