Our experts have extensive testifying experience and involvement in depositions, mediations, trials and arbitrations, and our clients rely on our professionalism and expertise in assisting with project claims and dispute resolution in a variety of forums.SOCOTEC is proud to announce that it has been officially certified as a Great Place to Work by the renowned global authority on workplace culture, Great Place to Work.Job DescriptionThe Dispute Resolution Director will be a key member of the SOCOTEC Advisory leadership team providing traditional construction dispute case leadership including analysis, opinion and expert testimony in support of mediation, arbitration or trial proceedings, and development and/or evaluation of construction claims.  The ideal candidate will have the ability to manage multiple caseloads, have an extensive track record of project testimony and a stellar reputation in the industry.  As a senior member of the DR team a key responsibility includes the expansion of the SOCOTEC Advisory client base and business development.Interface with clients and project stakeholdersProvide client with information pertinent to the management and control of the engagement including development of project strategy, work plans and budgetsTeam lead in the evaluation and preparation and analysis of claims pertinent to candidate’s specific qualifications such as project management, engineering/construction, quantification of costs, evaluation of progress, evaluation of time extension and issues including  schedule delay analysis, acceleration, disruption, productivity, work scope changes, drawings and specifications, and site conditionsConduct in-depth research and fact assessment, and perform evaluation  of project data and documentation such as communications, change orders, schedules, pay apps, labor data, cost reports, etc.Perform, review and rebut schedule and cost analyses from other expertsPrepare expert reports of findings and responsive reports as neededCreate demonstratives and graphics for expert reports and presentationsProvide expert testimony or demonstrate a strong desire to be qualified as an “expert” to provide testimonyCoaching/mentoring less experienced consultantsIndustry networking and business developmentWork effectively on multiple projects with competing prioritiesPerform all other duties as assigned by your supervisor or manager.QualificationsQualified candidates must have a working knowledge in the following:10+ years of construction dispute resolution or related experienceB.S. in Engineering or Construction Management/Construction ScienceExcellent technical writing skillsExpertise with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, large data management, and graphic communication toolsExpertise with MS Office Products (especially Excel)Testimony experience is requiredUS based and valid work permit if applicableAdditional InformationSOCOTEC offers generous compensation packages including salary, benefits & bonus based upon relevant experience.All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelinesSOCOTEC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.SummaryType: Full-timeFunction: EngineeringExperience level: DirectorIndustry: Civil Engineering
