As a Program Management Associate within the Financial Control team working on the Fixed Income Transformation project, you will partner with various stakeholder across multiple regions to deliver project objectives throughout multiple phases including requirements documentation, functional analysis, accounting architectural design and testing. You will have opportunities to leverage your product knowledge, problem solving ability, and accounting expertise to participate in meaningful discussion with partners from project management, technology, operation and other finance partners to solve complex business issues and build a strategic accounting infrastructure for securities processing.
Projects is a multi-year initiatives to replace fixed income accounting & inventory stake engine. We are looking for Associate to support the multi-year strategic build out Securities Processing Platform from a financial control perspective, mainly focusing on the LATAM region. Flexible working arrangements available.
Job responsibilities:
- Liaise with various stakeholders (Project management, Ops, Corporate Accounting Policy, tech) across the firm to define and document detailed accounting requirements including accounting calculations, when applicable, for debt instruments according to US and local GAAP
- Perform data & process analyses and present findings to key stakeholders
- Partner with Technology throughout analysis and testing
- Write and execute UAT test cases; participate in E2E, production parallel and conversion testing
- Analyze controls to ensure the strategic infrastructure operates within a solid control environment- including identifying any opportunities for process and control improvements; Make certain the design meets Finance Principles and Big Rules established
- Produce & maintain Financial Control deliverable throughout the project and create documentation as required
- Present up date and project status to senior managers
- Minimum of 3 years finance or accounting experience, fixed income securities accounting experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, be flexible and adapt to the changing needs of stakeholders
- Detail oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills including root cause analysis and ability to provide solutions
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Exceptional interpersonal and relationship building skills with the ability to collaborate across different groups and regions
- Strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize, and manage multiple activities
- Excellent working knowledge of MS Excel (Pivot tables, v-lookups, functions), PowerPoint and Word
- Knowledge of key Finance systems and processes, including MIS and GL
- Prior experience performing requirement analysis
- Fixed income securities accounting experience preferred
- Conversation/fluent in Spanish or Portuguese
