Major Duties (Job Description)

  • You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our workforce, managing technical tasks, and ensuring that administrative tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
  • You will provide guidance and support to your team, helping them grow and develop both professionally and personally.
  • You will be responsible for aligning and advancing efforts as prioritized by the National Defense Strategy (NDS), working closely with leadership to ensure that our efforts are in line with our national security goals.
  • You will collaborate with Departments and Human Resources to plan, resource, and prioritize critical demands.
  • You will build trust and key relationships, both internally and externally, while actively influencing significant Naval efforts to drive readiness.
  • You will formulate approaches to lead technical efforts, including planning, assigning, and directing tasks related to installation activities.

Qualification Summary

Your resume must demonstrate one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined: 1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Analyzing user issues to provide precise, tailored solutions, improving system reliability and customer satisfaction. 2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Promptly addressing client inquiries and quickly resolving issues to boost customer satisfaction. 3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Communicate complex technical issues in an understandable way, fostering clear and effective interactions with customers. 4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Identifying and resolving technical issues, minimizing downtime and maintaining system uptime. In addition to your experience demonstrating the four competencies above your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or NM-03 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Supervise AND/OR lead a technical workforce supporting C4ISR (Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance) system installations. This includes but is not limited to managing resources, ensure compliance with policies and fostering innovation collaboration.
