Job Title: Cable Assembly Technician Job Description Are you skilled with complex cable/wire harnesses and seeking a meaningful manufacturing opportunity? Interested in building equipment supporting some of the nation's largest aerospace and defense companies? Join a growing team as a Cable Assembly Technician! Responsibilities Read blueprints and follow wire harness assembly instructions. Gather materials and tooling necessary to perform work in an organized manner. Route, wire, and assemble electronic components using wire layout boards. Perform numerous hand assembly operations based on detailed instructions. Operate semi-automatic equipment such as crimp presses, wire twisters, and wire strippers. Conduct functional and continuity tests of wire harnesses and cable assemblies using friendly test fixtures. Use a solder iron to solder wires to switches or connectors. Perform visual and dimensional inspections of in-process assemblies and finished products. Essential Skills 3+ years of cable or wire harness assembly experience within the military, defense, aerospace, or oil & gas industry. Experience with Mil-spec connectors / Rugged Equipment. J-soldering experience. Proficiency in reading blueprints and wiring instructions. Experience with continuity testing, electronic assembly, and mechanical hand tools. Knowledge of performing visual and dimensional inspections of in-process assemblies and finished products. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with cable/wire harnesses for rugged products (military vehicles, 810G, 810H, etc.). Experience in the military, aerospace, DOD, or oil & gas industry.
