We are currently seeking to add an Environmental Engineer to our dynamic team in Vancouver, Washington.
  • Salary:$75,000 - $110,000 annually

PBS provides a range of environmental services throughout the Pacific Northwest, including collaboration between office locations. The Vancouver office environmental team primarily works with stormwater treatment, wastewater treatment, environmental permit compliance, solid waste management, contaminated media mitigation, and site monitoring projects, and is seeking an additional project engineer to support our growing team. In this role, you will manage client communications and project tasks, including budgets, scopes of work, and billings for multiple projects. With your strong people and leadership skills, you'll oversee the work of junior staff and provide valuable mentorship. QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil, Environmental, or similar Engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited institution.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer or ability to obtain registration in 6 months
  • 4 to 7 years of engineering consulting experience.
  • Project management experience.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with strong critical thinking skills.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Desirable Qualifications:
  • Master of Science degree in engineering.
  • Current OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training certification.
  • Experience with solid waste landfill remediation.
  • Experience with soil vapor extraction systems.
  • Familiarity with Washington State cleanup programs.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Prepare engineering calculations and assumptions, and present technical recommendations.
  • Review and prepare technical reports and presentations.
  • Review and prepare environmental permitting materials.
  • Prepare designs, specifications, and engineering cost estimates for stormwater treatment, wastewater treatment, contaminated media mitigation (soil, sediment, vapor, and/or groundwater), and other similar projects.
  • Manage preparation of environmental management plans (SWPCP/SWPPP, SPCC, ASPP, etc.)
  • Provide technical support to project managers in other disciplines.
  • Field oversight of construction projects related to environmental systems or site development.
  • Responsible for overseeing the work of and providing mentorship to junior staff
