As BCG's public sector practice grows in today's dynamic and rapidly changing environment, we are continuing to build our team of business development professionals. As a business development analyst at BCG, you will work with senior leadership to help research and track business opportunities, conduct research, and help unlock business insights across the federal market. You will work as an integral part of our business development team.

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)

  • Bachelor's degree and 3 - 5 years of relevant work experience in Federal business development and capture activities
  • U.S. citizen required
  • Experience with federal procurement data systems including FPDS-NG, USASpending, SAM.gov, GSA eBuy, etc. as well as subscription services such as GovWin IQ
  • Experience with all Microsoft Office products with strong proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint, including basic MS Word Desktop Publishing capabilities.
  • Familiarity with U.S. federal procurement practices including basic understanding of FAR requirements and standard federal solicitation formal
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail while maintaining focus on the big picture
  • Demonstrated ownership and resourcefulness in dealing with complex and ambiguous situations
  • Intellectual curiosity and aptitude for learning new approaches and tools
  • Enjoy working under deadline and work well under pressure
  • High integrity and an ability to maintain confidentiality


ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

At BCG, our people and relationships are at the heart of everything we do. We believe that in-person work is essential to our culture, mentorship, and professional development. That's why we operate on a hybrid model, with the expectation that team members will be in the office 3 to 5 days per week. This role is designed for those who thrive in a dynamic, collaborative environment and is not intended for remote or virtual work.

Total compensation for this role includes base salary, annual discretionary performance bonus, contributions to BCG's Profit Sharing and Retirement Fund (PSRF), and a market leading benefits package described below.

We expect total annualized compensation for Washington D.C. based employees to be approximately the following:
  • Base salary between $81,000-$99,000(USD); placement within this range will vary based on experience and skill level
  • Annual discretionary performance bonus between 0-16%
  • 5% Profit Sharing Retirement Fund (PSRF) contribution, increasing to 10% after two years of service. Contributions are vested immediately and there is no waiting period

YOU'RE GOOD AT

  • Research, qualify, and prioritize leads and opportunities through various databases (GovWin, Bloomberg, Sam.gov, eBuy, etc.)
  • Analyze solicitations, sources-sought notices, requests for information (RFIs), and requests for proposals/quotes (RFPs/RFQs/RFXs); prepare lead summaries for leadership and account teams
  • Identify long-term contract vehicle opportunities to position BCG with contract access at various federal agencies; support leadership in deal qualification activities
  • Research priority agencies, programs, industry, and trends to provide market insights to leadership
  • Conduct teaming partner and competitor research
  • Track and report lead pipeline and other bid & proposal data to BCG leadership
  • Conduct general background research in support of business development initiatives
  • Other business development and administrative duties as assigned


YOU'LL WORK WITH

Our business management and operations team members work to ensure that BCG is running smoothly, efficiently, and productively. We are made up of executive and administrative (or case team) assistants, visual service artists, receptionists, facilities staff, and the team leaders and office coordinators who manage these operations and business management jobs.
