Roadway Design Project Engineer

We are looking for a talented Civil Engineer to join our Roadway/Highway Design team. This opportunity can be based out of any of our Indiana offices. The ideal candidate for this role will be a Professional Engineer with experience working on LPA and/or INDOT roadway design projects. We provide multi-disciplined services for a variety of public agencies and private entities, including transportation design; water resources design; environmental analysis & permitting; construction engineering & inspection; traffic engineering & transportation planning; surveying; and land acquisition & appraisal. Our transportation design team offers a variety of services, but most of our work involves roadway and bridge design for various local public agencies and state DOT's.

In this position, the candidate will:
- Work on a variety of DOT and/or LPA roadway/highway projects.
- Support project managers in the planning and execution of engineering projects.
- Assist in the preparation of project proposals, budgets, and schedules.
- Conduct engineering analysis and design for assigned projects.
- Design complete projects or components of a project and prepares complete project documents.
- Apply engineering techniques, methods, and design criteria to support project execution.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project goals are met.
- Prepare and reviews project documentation, reports, and specifications.
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
- May assign work to junior engineers, technicians, or administrative staff.
- May be involved in the mentorship and development of junior level staff.
- May perform other duties associated with this role.
Qualifications for this role:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license. Lacking a PE, continued progression may be delayed.
- 4-7 years of relevant civil engineering experience.
- Proficiency with project scheduling tools and software.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation
- Strong verbal and written communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including: Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Valid Driver's License
