Description
Leidos is looking to add a Software Developer to their team in Chantilly, VA. This person will work in a dynamic environment supporting operations, data analysis, and data visualization tools. Work closely with the principle engineer, chief architect, and product users to solve complex data-driven problems throughout the entire software development lifecycle of both existing and new applications.

The ideal candidate has the capacity to work both front and back-end portions of a software environment. The candidate will implement software testing, operations, and maintenance (O&M), troubleshooting, system backup/restore, and software upgrades. The candidate is expected to analyze and solve complex use case problems and adhere to well-established software design and development principles. Must be a self-starter and energized by the capability to learn and implement new skills across both software engineering and user domains.

This position requires an active TS/SCI, and a willingness to undergo a polygraph to be considered. Candidates who do not possess this clearance will not be considered.

Mandatory
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 4+ years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated experience in an object oriented language such as Java, C#/.NET
  • Experience working with relational databases
  • Experience with Windows and Linux operating system environments
  • Experience with code repositories, such as Subversion and Git
  • Experience with UI/UX design and best practices, able to translate requirements into a clean and functional interface
  • Experience developing software for Geospatial and/or Air domains
  • Troubleshoot and problem solve both technical and non-technical issues
  • Able to research and adapt to unfamiliar technologies
  • Current/Active TS/SCI security clearance
Additional Desired Skills
  • Familiar with Visual Studio IDE
  • Windows Presentation Framework / XAML (or other UI framework)
  • Systems ToolKit (STK) , or other Geospatial mod-sim technologies
  • Experience developing within an Agile environment, Scrum in particular
  • Experience using continuous build systems such as Jenkins, Git, etc.
  • Experience developing HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks (e.g., ReactJS/NextJS)
  • Experience writing and implementing unit tests
  • Cloud Experience (e.g., AWS)
  • Technical Certifications: AWS, Security+, etc.

Pay Range: Pay Range $81,250.00 - $146,875.00
