Embedded S/W Engineer

Grand Prairie, TX - MFC (4/10A-1st Shift) (Pay: $75.00 to $90.00 Hourly OT40)
Designs, develops, operates, and maintains software and firmware components and computing systems software to be applied to and integrated with engineering scientific and manufacturing requirements. Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the system development life cycle to support the generation of such engineering applications and produces such as laboratory simulations systems airplane flight control and display systems avionics mechanical and electrical systems, weapons armament, commercial and military aircraft systems, mobile and ground-based defense systems, space systems, and other systems and applications of this nature. Interfaces with customers suppliers' application users and other technical and support personnel.
LM MFC Grand Prairie location is looking for a Software Engineer to support development, integration, and test of embedded software solutions. The candidate will work with the team implementing, integrating, and testing embedded software solutions. This will include development of both embedded software as well as test software used to integrate and test the embedded software devices.
Required Skills:
• Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience.
• Must work onsite fulltime
• Experience in software engineering and software development - specifically embedded real-time systems
• Ability to interpret customer needs, work with the team to develop software solutions, product backlogs, and provide technical feedback to the team
• Linux/Windows
• Experience working with an RTOS
• C++/ADA
• Experience integrating embedded devices
• Experience integrating software with FPGAs
• Experience Integrating hardware and software
• Experience integrating closed loop systems
Desired Skills:
• Experience with Agile, GitLab CI/CD, and JIRA/Confluence
• Experience working with multi-disciplined teams
• Excellent communication skills
