Responsible for driving technical accounting compliance, financial and operational internal controls, process simplification, and operational excellence to deliver accurate actual financial reporting and analysis. Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
- Business partnership with the Marine Segment Leader on Orders, Revenue and Margin targets for the business
- Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Pacing of the Marine Segment Results
- Quarterly Contract Management Reviews (CMR) for all Marine projects under 606 Overtime Accounting
- Lead the monthly and quarterly financial close processes for OTR finance in the Marine business to ensure timely and accurate reporting of the US10 and Naval General Ledgers
- Annual US Naval Rate calculations
- Ensuring compliant recovery of Costs on US Navy Cost+ Contracts
- Ensure the maintenance of information, accounting, financial reporting and control systems in the Marine Segment to ensure the reliability of records and transaction authorizations and the security of assets
- Lead initiatives to improve financial control systems
- Support IT structure improvement roadmap
- Mentorship in the development of other team members in the Finance organization of PCS NAM
- Lead of 2 Analysts in the group
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years of Operational Finance experience including Contract Management Review (CMR) and applicable overtime accounting standards (606 Accounting)
- Role is located in Findlay Township, PA and is not a remote role.
Desired Characteristics
- CPA or MBA
- Working knowledge of SAP (Fusion) and Hyperion Financial Management System (HFM)
- US Naval Contract Accounting Experience
- Financial Control experience in a public company
- Demonstrated team leadership ability
- Strong leadership, interpersonal and influencing skills in a matrix organization
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and to prioritize effectively
- Established analytical, project management, organizational and problem-solving skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to anticipate, identify, and resolve complex financial issues
- Ability to work with remote and cross functional/cultural teams
