Overview
LMI is seeking a Strategic Communications Officer to support a federal government customer in Northern Virginia. Join our team of collaborative self-starters focused on advising senior leaders on communication strategies and delivering targeted, effective messages. As part of our high-performing team, you will augment our vital work to support a national security mission. This position is full-time and based in Herndon, Virginia.

Target salary range: $100,000 - $195,000. Final compensation will be determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to your skills, experience, education, and/or certifications.

Responsibilities
- Develop and Implement a Marketing, Communications, and Engagement Plan
- Engage and enlist a diverse set of stakeholders and workforce to actively support the strategy of the client and fully understand their role in making it happen.
- Translate technical information into a clear, readable documents and presentations to be used by technical and non-technical personnel
- Lead the development and production of reports, articles, presentations, scripts, talking points, testimony, web content, new (social) media content, and press releases in a clear and concise fashion to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Plan and manage projects and events, as necessary.
Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI with polygraph
- Bachelor's degree in communications, English or other related discipline
- Understanding of communications principles, methods, practices, and techniques, including skill in presenting ideas in speech and in written form to inform and persuade audiences at all levels of the organization
- Ability to design, develop, and deliver strategic communications through a variety of media
- Strong organizational skills-someone with the ability to work with little direction on complex tasks and competing demands
- Experience with event planning, scheduling and execution.
- Exceptional oral and written communication and presentation skills, with proficiency in multiple methods of visual communication
- Enthusiastic and eager to learn and have an ability to work well within a team
- Proficiency with the use of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.
- Experience developing and implementing strategic communications plans for complex federal organizations
