About the Role:
The VP of Data Engineering will lead Tubi's data teams including BI, data warehouse, data infrastructure and platform. This leader will be partnering with Machine learning engineers, Product Managers and Data Scientists to deliver high-availability data infrastructure and data architecture that serves their data needs. The perfect candidate will have a proven track record of building, leading and scaling data engineering teams, mentoring leaders, strong data infrastructure and data architecture skills, strong operational skills, strong project management leadership skills and a vision on building data teams that improve companies.

This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, long-term incentive plan, and various benefits including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents.

Responsibilities:
- Drive Tubi's architecture and vision for our data warehouse and data infrastructure, including ML Data infrastructure, streaming infrastructure, BI, data warehouse
- Define and implement policies and processes for data governance and data retention
- Build a high-quality data engineering team that scales
- Work cross-functionally with Machine Learning engineers, Data Scientists, Product Managers, and Software Engineers to understand and deliver on their data needs
- Design processes for operational excellence in system reliability and project management
- Design, build and launch data models, data pipelines, impactful dashboards and data visualizations in production
- Define and manage SLA's for data infrastructure systems, datasets and processes in production
- Manage relationships and negotiations with external vendors
- Implement processes and policies for infrastructure cost containment and cost forecasting
- Partner with the Tubi infrastructure team to ensure our data infrastructure is secure and easily maintainable
- Experience scaling and managing 30+ person teams
- 10+ years of experience in Data Engineering, BI and Data Infrastructure
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Project management experience
- Data modeling and data architecture experience
- Experience with SQL, Python, Databricks, Amazon Redshift, DBT
- Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or relevant technical fields
