We are seeking a talented Producer to join our dynamic team at The Mel Robbins Podcast. This person will play a meaningful role in the creation of captivating content that inspires and motivates millions of people around the world.
The Mel Robbins Podcast is the #1 Education podcast in the world and the fifth most-followed podcast on Apple Podcasts. Millions of people tune into the podcast for science-backed tools, expert resources, and the inspiration to create a better life.
As Producer, you will be involved in the entire production process of episodes, from conceptualization to production, post-production, and marketing, ensuring that every episode meets our standards of excellence. The ideal candidate has a track record of producing compelling and high-quality podcast content, a passion for storytelling, and is a self-starter who enjoys working in a team-oriented environment.

As Producer, you will be involved in the entire production process of episodes, from conceptualization to production, post-production, and marketing, ensuring that every episode meets our standards of excellence. The ideal candidate has a track record of producing compelling and high-quality podcast content, a passion for storytelling, and is a self-starter who enjoys working in a team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Executive Producer on every aspect of the creation of podcasts episodes, with a specific focus on:
- Pre-production: Pitch and workshop episode concepts; research, outline, and script captivating solo and expert interview episodes
- Production: Produce episodes and lead production days; provide meaningful input into the creation and recording process;
- Post-production: Make content edits, provide editorial input and post-production notes in Descript; develop and execute episode marketing strategies in coordination with social media, video, and newsletter teams. Provide feedback on episode edits, mixes, and video edits.
- Analyze listener feedback and audience data to inform content and production improvements.
- Stay up-to-date with podcasting trends, tools, and best practices to continually enhance the podcast's production quality and engagement with our audience.
- Coordinate and collaborate with other Producers on the team
- Mentor and supervise junior production staff, providing guidance and feedback to support their professional development.
- 3-5 + years of experience as a podcast producer
- Proven ability to produce and manage a host or talent in a dynamic production environment.
- Excellent storytelling, scriptwriting, written/verbal communication skills, editing chops, and interviewing skills.
- Ability to lead the end-to-end production process - to conceptualize and execute from concept to pre and post-production.
- Forward-thinking, adept at problem-solving, and a self-motivated team player.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple episodes simultaneously.
- Comfortable in a fast paced, technology driven production environment, including the ability to quickly type scripts and edit documents on a deadline
- A passion for personal growth and the topics shared in The Mel Robbins Podcast
- Based in Boston, MA or willing to relocate.
