Hybrid Cloud Engineer
Key Role:
Manages, administers, supports and enhances cloud environments, ensuring continuous improvement and rapid problem resolution. Applies advanced consulting skills or extensive technical expertise and full industry knowledge. Develops innovative solutions to complex problems. Works without considerable direction and mentors and may supervise team members. Design, implement, and maintain hybrid cloud environments, integrating on-premise systems with cloud platforms. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including cloud architects, DevOps engineers, and security specialists, to ensure seamless integration and operation of cloud environments. Support the continuous improvement of cloud environments, implementing best practices for security, performance, and cost management. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, providing innovative solutions to ensure high availability and reliability of cloud services. Ensure compliance with DoD security standards and regulations, maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of sensitive data.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $96,600.00 to $220,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.

Basic Qualifications:
- Experience with containerization and container orchestration platforms, including Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with DoD security frameworks and regulations, including the Authority to Operate (ATO) process
- Experience in managing hybrid cloud environments that integrate on-premise systems with cloud platforms
- Knowledge of DevOps principles and CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or GitLab
- Knowledge of cloud products, such as Azure, and Google Cloud Platform
- Knowledge of cloud security principles and the implementation of security best practices in cloud deployments
- Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering with a focus on AWS or Masters degree and 3+ years of experience in cloud engineering with a focus on AWS
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification
Additional Qualifications:
- Experience with Terraform and AWS Cloud Formation
- Knowledge of services offered by AWS, Azure, and GCP
- Ability to automate cloud operations using scripting languages like Python or PowerShell
