Slalom Raleigh is looking for an experienced Data Architect who will collaborate closely with the Data Platform, BI, and Enterprise Architecture teams to shape the technical direction of our data and analytics initiatives.
What You'll Do
- Build innovative solutions on data platforms to support our clients, helping them fully leverage and organize their enterprise data to drive advanced analytics
- Design, develop, validate, and communicate enterprise-wide data solutions using modern tools and cloud technologies such as AWS/GCP/Azure
- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for recommended technical approaches for solving our clients' complex data-related development and integration problems
- Assist and consult in designing multi-phase enterprise-wide data strategies to support client's corporate objectives and able to consult on various data warehouse/ data lake technologies
- Engage effectively with client stakeholders and delivery teams to align technical solutions to the desired client outcomes
- Guide and mentor technical delivery teams consisted of talented Slalom consultants
- Deliver high-quality written, verbal, and/or visual communication to clients
What You'll Bring
- 12+ years of prior experience in data engineering or data warehousing with at least 2 years in a Data Architect role
- Prior experience developing cloud data solutions using Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or Snowflake
- Expertise in developing enterprise data management solutions including moving from on-prem to the cloud and modernizing data lake/warehouse environments
- Strong experience in data architecture concepts such as data modeling, workflow management, ETL, ELT, and real-time streaming
- Experience in developing data engineering solutions using open source and proprietary cloud data pipeline tools such as Airflow, Glue and Dataflow
- Preferred to have Architect Certification in any one of the cloud technologies
