HSM Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Director of HR Operations to lead our Talent Acquisition, HRIS Administration, and Payroll teams. Based in our corporate offices in Hickory, NC (preferred) or Huntersville, NC, this role offers hybrid flexibility for the right candidate. Reporting to the Vice President of HR, the Director will focus on improving people processes, streamlining the HR tech stack, and implementing practical best practices that align with overall business objectives.

Responsibilities

What You Will Do

  • Lead the RFP (Request for Proposal) process for HRIS evaluation, selection, and implementation, with proven experience in Workday, UKG, or Oracle.
  • Oversee the HR Operations teams, including Talent Acquisition, HRIS, and Payroll, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Implement best practices that improve people processes, enable workflows, and drive efficiency across cross-functional shared services teams.
  • Manage all HR technology (HRIS, ATS, Compensation tools, etc.), driving automation and systems integration with IT and HSM enterprise systems.
  • Collaborate with the HR COEs and cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Partner with HRBPs, HR Managers, and HR Generalists to design employee policies and implement processes that ensure policy governance with practical guardrails.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.


Qualifications

What You Bring

  • Must have proven experience managing an RFP (Request for Proposal) process with Workday, UKG, or Oracle HCM.
  • Bachelor's degree (preferred) in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related field.
  • 7-10 years of experience in HR Operations, HRIS management, Talent Acquisition, and Payroll. An emphasis in hands-on HRIS implementation with Workday or UKG and policy design is ideal.
  • Minimum of 5 years managing teams of 5-10+ employees.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages across salaried, hourly, and senior leadership audiences.
  • A track record of implementing practical HR strategies that drive business results.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR compliance, recruiting, compensation, benefits, and payroll.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
