With tens of millions of users across the globe, we've become the most trusted way to find a relationship, for all.

About the Role

Hinge is hiring two Lead Content Designers! These roles will be pivotal in redefining online dating. This is a unique opportunity to drive content design across our app's multiple touchpoints, directly shaping user experience during a period of significant growth. Collaborating with a dynamic team of product managers, designers, researchers, and brand specialists, you'll be instrumental in crafting and refining how we communicate with Hinge's users.

As one of our Lead Content Designers, you will develop and execute content strategies that align with Hinge's goal of helping users delete the app! In this position, you will ensure cohesive and compelling content across all touchpoints. These roles offer a unique opportunity to drive innovation in content design, exploring new ways to engage users and improve their experience. Additionally, you will establish and maintain content standards and accessibility guidelines to ensure consistency and inclusivity. Finally, you will use data and user feedback to measure the effectiveness of content and continuously optimize for better results.

Responsibilities
    • Simplify and Communicate: Translate complicated concepts into clear in-product copy (UI, monetization offerings, AI-powered interactions, notifications, errors, and more).
    • Create Content Guidelines: Develop and maintain in-app content strategies and tone-of-voice guidelines for cross-functional use.
    • Test and Iterate: Continuously test and refine content designs based on user feedback and data insights.
    • Lead Projects: Oversee various product design initiatives, ensuring successful execution through collaboration with product management, design, operations, research, marketing, and engineering teams.
    • Foster Collaboration: Partner closely with product managers, designers, operations, researchers, marketing and engineering to drive features forward from conception to execution at a hands-on capacity.
    • Solve Complex Problems: Use design thinking to address complex issues with human-centered solutions and brand-aligned storytelling.
    • Create Best Practices: Create, maintain, and evolve in-app content guidelines in partnership with product, brand and marketing.
    • Bring empathy & compassion: You must not only be highly strategic and a brilliant written craftsperson, but also demonstrate a high EQ in your approach. The Hinge voice is clear, concise, and functional, but also comes from a place of deep empathy for those navigating the ever-changing dating landscape.

What We're Looking For
    • Proven Experience: 7+ years crafting compelling copy and content strategies in digital product companies, agencies, or tech startups, with a strong portfolio in UX writing and digital storytelling.
    • Global Audience Focus: Expertise in designing content for diverse, global audiences, adapting messaging to cultural nuances.
    • Mobile Product Expertise: Experience in writing for user-facing mobile apps, engaging users through concise and impactful messaging.
    • Strategic Content Creation: Skill in strategically planning content roadmaps and developing test plans to optimize content strategies using data-driven insights.
    • Collaboration and Tool Proficiency: Proficiency with key design and collaboration tools (e.g., Google Suite, Figma, Notion), and effective teamwork in multidisciplinary environments.
    • Leadership and Advocacy: Strong presentation skills, capable of articulating copy decisions and advocating for content choices that enhance product value and user engagement.
