POSITION OVERVIEW:
The VSET Engineering Team is responsible for the research, design and engineering standards for collaborative spaces. This group works closely with the Deployment Engineering group to deliver industry leading collaborative spaces.
The ideal candidate will have a background in broadcast, audio visual, video conferencing, and/or live events, which have specialized in one or more of the following roles: system integration, live events operations, system engineering and/or maintenance & support. We are seeking those who are creative, and desire to learn new technologies and methods to help the team come up with new innovative designs.

We are seeking those who are creative, and desire to learn new technologies and methods to help the team come up with new innovative designs.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Assist with the Design and Deployments team on research of new AV technologies.
- Assist setup/striking demos, proof of concept, and testing based on assigned new technologies.
- Creates analysis or comparison reports based on research results, demos, POC, and test findings.
- Assist the design team on design drawings, and bill of materials review
- Handle logistics related tasks such as shipping, receiving, and transport between campus/offices/warehouse.
- Assist setting up vendor access and escort.
- Assist with POC system building and testing.
- Ability to evaluate new products and provide design documentation for implementation and testing criteria rubrics.
- Able to draft simple design considerations for improvement of the current venue space and speciality spaces with issues.
- Verify technical SOP for documentation and review.
- Assist/coordinate with cross functional teams on assigned tasks/projects.
- Assist with administrative related tasks such as internal project tools and trackers, documentations, weekly updates, etc.
- Maintain lab space operations, manage lab equipment inventories and associated documentations.
- Work closely with the logistics team to maintain warehouse inventory and documentation.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
- BA/BS degree preferred in a technical field or equivalent experience.
- 5+ with AV technologies such as audio, video, video conferencing, production lighting, live streaming, routing and control systems, etc.
- Knowledge of Windows and Mac at a user level, as well as Microsoft Office applications.
- Conceptual understanding about audio and video signal flow is a plus.
- Logistics experience is a plus.
- Understanding of AV drawings and signal flow.
- Ability to travel as needed to locations for Sight Acceptance Testing. (up to 25%)
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Enthusiasm and keen desire to learn.
- Familiarity with programming languages for interactive multimedia content control and management.
- Audio and Video hardware, software, and transmission systems. (Riedel, Artist, Yamaha, Dante, KiPro, Panasonic Cameras, Ross / Carbonite, Cisco Codecs, Videoconferencing Systems, Shure Audio, Unilumen LED Walls, Fiber Optic Systems, Encoder and Streaming Systems)
- Attention to detail.
- Organized and responsible with strong communication skills.
- Enjoy working in a team, while also being able to work independently.
- Ability to perform advanced troubleshooting skills without the need for constant oversight and direction.
- Proactive in gaining knowledge and learning.
- Ability to follow instructions and standard operating procedures to complete tasks.
- Flexibility to adapt quickly.
- Willingness to work hard in a challenging and fast paced environment.
