As a Senior Analytics and Data Engineering Analyst at Frontier, you will be a driving force in leveraging data to optimize business operations and support strategic decision-making. Working closely with cross-functional teams and executive leadership, you will provide critical analytical support to inform corporate strategy and enhance data-driven insights. Your role involves designing and maintaining complex data models, developing advanced analytics solutions, and creating impactful visualizations that communicate key business insights. Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Analytics and Data Engineering, you will play a crucial role in shaping and executing data strategies, translating data into actionable recommendations that drive business growth and efficiency. What we need in you:
What you'll do:
- Lead the design and development of complex ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes using SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) packages within Visual Studio to transform and load data from diverse sources such as flat files, DB2, and Teradata.
- Continuously monitor and optimize database performance, including index tuning and query optimization, to ensure efficient data retrieval and system performance.
- Thoroughly document ETL processes, data flows, and technical specifications to facilitate knowledge sharing and maintenance within the team and across the organization.
- Create and maintain robust data models that support various business intelligence initiatives, ensuring data consistency, accuracy, and accessibility.
- Develop and optimize complex T-SQL queries and stored procedures for efficient data manipulation, ensuring high performance and scalability.
- Utilize Databricks for big data processing and analytics tasks, leveraging its capabilities to handle large datasets and perform advanced analytics.
- Generate detailed reports and interactive dashboards using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and SSRS to visualize data and communicate insights effectively to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, understand business needs, and translate them into technical solutions that drive business value.
- Perform comprehensive data profiling, cleansing, and quality assurance to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of data used for analysis and reporting.

- Salary Range: $100,000 to $137,000.

What background you should have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is required.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in data analysis, data engineering, and business intelligence roles, demonstrating a track record of successful project delivery.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, with expertise in both Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) and Teradata environments.3+ years of experience using Excel and SQL at an advanced level.
- Proven experience with ETL processes and SSIS package development using Visual Studio, showcasing the ability to handle complex data transformations.
- Experience with Databricks and big data technologies, with the ability to process and analyze large datasets efficiently.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or SSRS, with a demonstrated ability to create impactful and user-friendly visualizations.
- Knowledge of programming languages, such as Python or R, for advanced analytics and data manipulation.
- Experience with dimensional modeling and data warehouse concepts, ensuring structured and efficient data storage and retrieval.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data and technical concepts in a clear, concise, and understandable manner to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- A Master's degree in a related field is preferred.
- Professional certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., Microsoft, Teradata, Databricks) are highly desirable.
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) is a plus, showcasing the ability to work with modern data infrastructure.
- Knowledge of machine learning, ML ops, and predictive analytics techniques, with the ability to apply these methods to solve business problems.
