The Opportunity:

WSP is currently seeking for an experienced Professional Civil Engineer for our Land Development and Municipal Engineering group. This position is based in our Whitehorse office, reporting to the Manager, LDME, Infrastructure. This position will be responsible to work on municipal projects with a focus on mostly public clients involving water and wastewater systems, storm water management, municipal roads, and land development.

What you can expect to do here:
• Preliminary and detailed design of civil works for water supply and wastewater systems, watermain, storm and sanitary sewers including linear works, valves, chambers, and pump stations
• Construction services including site field reviews/reporting and construction contract administration
• Client management
• Proposal development
• Other duties as assigned

What you'll bring to WSP:
• An undergraduate degree in civil engineering from an accredited university
• 3 - 5 years of progressive experience with a mix of design, project management and construction experience
• Professional Engineer or eligibility for registration with Engineers Yukon is required
• Experience in production of construction contract documents and contract administration
• Previous success in client management and proposal/report writing
• Strong communication (written and verbal), interpersonal and teamwork skills
