Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is currently seeking a Geriatrician to fill an opening with a network of federally qualified community health centers located in Bronx, New York.
Requirements of the Geriatrician :
* Must have an MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school and completion of the accredited residency program
* Must have completed a Fellowship in Geriatrics
* Must be Board Certified
* Must have valid NY State license, CDS, DEA, and BLS
* Understanding of and passion for Community Healthcare is preferred
Benefits of the Geriatrician :
* The salary for this position is $235,000 - $260,000 / yr
* This is a Full-time position

Responsibilities of the Geriatrician :
* Examines or conducts tests on patients to provide information on medical conditions.
* Analyzes records, reports, test results, or examination information to diagnose the medical condition of the patient.
* Prescribes or administers treatment, therapy, medication, vaccination, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury.
* Explain procedures and discuss test results on prescribed treatments with patients.
* Collects, records, and maintains patient information, such as medical history, reports, and examination reports.
* Refers patient to medical specialist or other practitioner when necessary. Complete and submit appropriate progress reports to the CMO.
* Advises patients and the community concerning diet, activity, hygiene, and disease prevention.
* Maintains strict confidentiality and follows federal/state and organization regulations in this regard.
* Plans, implements or administers health programs or standards in the organization for information, prevention, or treatment of injury or illness.
* Attends scheduled monthly and quarterly medical staff meetings as well as education meetings.
* Agrees to see patients irrespective of their medical condition/diagnosis.
* Provides 24-hour on-call service on a rotating weekly basis.
* Conducts research to study anatomy and develop or test medications, treatments, or procedures to prevent, or control disease injury.
* Obtain and maintain admitting privileges to Urban Health Plan's affiliated hospitals.
* Perform other related duties as may be assigned.
