JOB TITLE ( ): Geriatrician - Bronx, NY Must be Board Certified Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is currently seeking a Geriatrician to fill an opening with a network of federally qualified community health centers located in Bronx, New York. Requirements of the Geriatrician : * Must have an MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school and completion of the accredited residency program * Must have completed a Fellowship in Geriatrics * Must be Board Certified * Must have valid NY State license, CDS, DEA, and BLS * Understanding of and passion for Community Healthcare is preferred Benefits of the Geriatrician : * The salary for this position is $235,000 - $260,000 / yr * This is a Full-time position * Federal/State Loan Repayment Eligibility * Generous Paid Time Off including your birthday (4 weeks vacation; 6 sick; 6 personal; 9 paid holidays) * Contribution to 401K plan * Full Benefits - 100% of the cost is covered for employee, 73.5% covered for the family by the employer * Term Life Insurance * Malpractice insurance coverage under FTCA * Paid continuing medical education * Flexible schedules * Relocation Reimbursement Responsibilities of the Geriatrician : * Examines or conducts tests on patients to provide information on medical conditions. * Analyzes records, reports, test results, or examination information to diagnose the medical condition of the patient. * Prescribes or administers treatment, therapy, medication, vaccination, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury. * Explain procedures and discuss test results on prescribed treatments with patients. * Collects, records, and maintains patient information, such as medical history, reports, and examination reports. * Refers patient to medical specialist or other practitioner when necessary. Complete and submit appropriate progress reports to the CMO. * Advises patients and the community concerning diet, activity, hygiene, and disease prevention. * Maintains strict confidentiality and follows federal/state and organization regulations in this regard. * Plans, implements or administers health programs or standards in the organization for information, prevention, or treatment of injury or illness. * Attends scheduled monthly and quarterly medical staff meetings as well as education meetings. * Agrees to see patients irrespective of their medical condition/diagnosis. * Provides 24-hour on-call service on a rotating weekly basis. * Conducts research to study anatomy and develop or test medications, treatments, or procedures to prevent, or control disease injury. * Obtain and maintain admitting privileges to Urban Health Plan's affiliated hospitals. * Perform other related duties as may be assigned.
