Job Summary
Seeking a compassionate Caregiver to provide personal care and companion care for an older gentleman living in Arlington. He has Parkinson's and early dementia, and will require assistance with transfers and for showering as he is a fall risk. Assistance with meal preparation and medication reminders. He lives in an apartment with his wife who needs help caring for him, especially while she is out running errands. Shifts are initially starting Tuesday and Thursday, 10am to 2pm with the expectation of additional hours. Some light housekeeping, grocery shopping and transportation to appointments may be required. Client and his wife are well traveled and enjoy different cultures. Caregiver must have reliable transportation. CNA license is highly desirable, CNA certificates will be considered.
Benefits:
* Starting rate between $18 to $22 per hour based on licensing and experience.

Job Responsibilities
Must be able to perform the following essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations:
* Follows the instructions of the RN Supervisor in providing personal assistance services.
* Provide assistance with hygiene such as bathing, oral care, and dressing.
* Assist with food preparation; serve food, performs errands, light housekeeping, laundry, wash dishes.
* Observe and report any safety hazards found in the client's home or any significant observations regarding the client.
* Attend staff meetings, attend/complete 12 hours of annual in-services, and participates in orientation of new employees.
* Report client complaints to the RN Supervisor.
* Report abnormal findings in client's conditions as observed and per care plan to RN.
Required Skills & Qualifications
* Experience: Two years of experience as a Caregiver. CNA license is highly desirable, CNA certificates will be considered.
* Requirements:
* Authorized to work in the United States
* Pass a background check and drug screen
* Current Driver's License
* Current TB test
* Immunizations to include COVID-19 and flu strongly encouraged
