We are seeking a Board Eligible or Board Certified Emergency Medicine Physician to join a well-established team in a state-of-the-art facility near Tampa, FL. Position Overview: * Position : Emergency Medicine Physician (Locum Tenens) * Location : Near Tampa, FL * Job Reference : Job ID * Board Certification Required : Board Eligible or Certified in Emergency Medicine Key Highlights: * Facility Details : * 28-bed Emergency Department with approximately 35,000 annual admissions. * Mixed patient population, primarily adults, focusing on cardiac and neurological cases, including stroke patients. * High acuity cases; less emphasis on pediatrics, obstetrics, and gynecology. * No trauma center, but comprehensive support for critical care cases. * Support Staff & Resources : * Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), paramedics, respiratory therapists, phlebotomy, stroke team, and sepsis team. * Access to specialized teams, including interventional radiology, cardiovascular surgery, neurology, neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery, vascular surgery, and nephrology. * The facility is equipped with teleneuro robots for stroke care. * Comprehensive Stroke Center designation. * Shift Details : * Weekdays: Shifts are 7 AM to 6 PM, 11 AM to 10 PM, and 8 PM to 7 AM. * Weekends: 12-hour shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM and 7 PM to 7 AM. * APP coverage is provided from 9 AM to 9 PM and 1 PM to 1 AM, seven days a week. * No call is required for this position. * Procedures & Cases : * The physician will handle core emergency medicine procedures, including moderate sedation. * Common cases include cardiac emergencies, neurological cases, orthopedic injuries, and other high-acuity conditions. * Physicians will sign out or admit patients for follow-up care as needed.
