Flexible Assembler III
The Flexible Assembler III located in Grandview, MO reports to our Plant manager and is responsible for performing bench assembly of mechanical and electro-mechanical products from a variety of component parts using common or specialized hand tools, bench and stand-alone machines, and test equipment. Perform calibrations and all final checks on products/parts assembled or machined. Perform standard production operations on purchased parts and/or raw stock using various machine shop equipment.

The Flexible Assembler III located in Grandview, MO reports to our Plant manager and is responsible for performing bench assembly of mechanical and electro-mechanical products from a variety of component parts using common or specialized hand tools, bench and stand-alone machines, and test equipment. Perform calibrations and all final checks on products/parts assembled or machined. Perform standard production operations on purchased parts and/or raw stock using various machine shop equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Keep the work area safe, organized, neat, and clean. Use available safety equipment and observe shop safety/cleaning procedures.
- Work efficiently as team members and/or independently where needed with little assistance after training according to production orders.
- Assist co-worker(s) in cross training the making of sub-assemblies, assembly, inspection, packing, warehouse, machining, cleaning, and testing activities.
- Working from written or verbal instructions, assemble/pack/warehouse/machine a variety of instruments/parts made to customer and/or W.E
- Anderson specifications in individual or larger run quantities using various hand tools, test equipment, soldering iron/torch, machines (turning, milling, drilling, threading, etc), shears, spot welders, press, etc.
- Perform measurement inspections and reading of engineering prints with common gages such as calipers, micrometer, thread gage, plug gage, etc.
- Perform product calibrations using standardized instruments such as flow meters, load test bank, pressure gages, volt ohmmeter, pressure calibration test stands and flow test stands to meet established assembly requirements.
- Perform all final tests and inspections to ensure finished products/parts in all ways to meet established performance and quality standards.
- Care for, repair, and store all hand tools, tooling, fixturing, & measuring equipment as directed.
Record production information as directed accurately including serial numbers, date code, quality assurance inspections, time cards, operator log, etc. - Perform basic computer data entry and simply analysis of charts and graphs (productivity, warranty, safety, etc.) for continuous improvement.

- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Knowledge and training in assembly/quality assurance/machining of company product(s)/part(s)/machine(s) preferred.
- Work requires the ability to work independently and exercise reasonable judgment. Have ability to follow complicated instructions and assist co-workers/team members in production operations responsibly.
Salary Description
