Job Description
An Award Winning Law Firm in Tennessee is looking for an experienced Litigation Paralegal! The ideal candidate should have a solid litigation background (preferably litigation, insurance defense, employment law & personal injury) and be able to handle assignments from various attorneys, be a self-starter who can work on their own, and be detail oriented. The candidate will be responsible for assisting attorneys in all stages of litigation matters.
The Litigation Paralegal will:
• Support litigation counsel in all stages of litigation
• Manage the discovery process, including the collection, retention, and production of documents, and assist counsel in drafting discovery responses
• Draft basic legal documents, including settlement agreements, document retention notices, and response letters
• Assist with pre-trial preparation, including drafting trial documents and preparing exhibits
• Prioritize and complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS FOR LITIGATION PARALEGAL
Minimum 3 years civil litigation experience in:
• Organizing large caseloads, discovery and trial preparation
• Commercial and business litigation, intellectual property experience is a plus
• Office management
• Solid written and oral communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Adobe and PowerPoint
• Great time management and multi-tasking skills
• Ability to act independently and with minimal supervision
