Position Description: Unit Information: Labor and Delivery Location: HCA Houston Healthcare Conroe Address: 504 Medical Center Blvd Conroe, TX 77304 Floor: 2nd Building: General Information Tell us about the unit(s): · Number of Beds – 8 Bed LDR with 2 OR’s and 1 Recovery room · Number of Staff – 30 · Delivery volume – 100-125 deliveries per month. · Provider mix – OB, Midwives, and Family practice · Type of staff: o Day Shift – 1 charge, 2-6 RN’s, 1 Surgical Tech, 1 Unit Secretary o Night Shift – 1 charge, 2-4 RN’s, 1 Surgical Tech · Patient Ratios – 1:1-2 labor 1:3 stable Ante · Type of equipment – labor beds, GE fetal monitors, Monica Tele monitors, Panda Warmers · EMR – CPN and meditech Typical hiring profile Skill Set Most recruited for: (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters) Must have : candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. · 2 years labor and delivery experience · Circulate c-sections Preferred or nice to have : candidates with these skills will be considered first. · Newborn transition · Mother baby · Scrub experience List typical procedures performed on unit(s): · Vaginal delivery and recovery · Triage · C-sections and recovery Dress Code : Include requirements, but most of all not acceptable attire. · Scrub Color - royal blue · Unit Guidelines/Policies : Please feel free to attach unit policies and guidelines. · Awards/Recognition: Feel free to include items such as links to videos that feature the department, outstanding department/team awards, reigning annual chili cook-off winners, etc. · Any additional information that would entice a worker to select your unit for their assignment: Consider items such as new equipment or technology, tenure and experience of staff, schedule options, etc. * Remember it is a very competitive market any information you can provide will help attract talent .
