Department Summary:

L212 contains MITRE Enterprise Program and Risk Management thought leaders. The department is composed of recognized subject matter experts, who are proficient in a suite of program and risk management skills including: leading people, project communications, scope management employing Agile, establishing program metrics, developing schedules, and more. The Enterprise Program & Risk Management department provides support across a wide range of MITRE portfolios, employing 90 highly qualified and experienced staff.

Role and Responsibilities:
  • Project coordination for MITRE projects
  • Implementation and maintenance of project schedules and program roadmaps
  • Implementation and maintenance of project risk register(s)
  • Handling of project logistics, communications, and reporting


Basic Qualifications:
  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.
  • Knowledge of the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK)
  • Contribution to the delivery of project and/or program in areas such as schedule management, project control, risk management
  • Familiarity with one or more Project Lifecycle Models
  • Experience with Microsoft products including MS Project, Excel, Word.
  • This position requires a minimum of 50% hybrid on-site


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Basic knowledge of project, program and risk management as would be evident by a Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification
  • Specific project management experience
  • Task leadership or other supervisory experience
  • Experience with MITRE project management tools - Clarity, MIHub, etc.

Salary compensation range and midpoint:
$85,500 - $107,000 - $128,500 Annual
