Data Governance Technical Analyst

Responsibilities:Lead Data Domain and Data Steward Workgroup meetingsWork closely with Data Domain Owners and SME's to identify CDE's (Critical Data Elements) and define data elements for the Business GlossaryCollaborate with Data Domain Owners to identify and define appropriate business rulesCollaborate with the Metadata specialist to identify data sourcesCollaborate with data modelers to review definitions of business terms vs. technical termsUtilize data profiling and data quality tools to expose and determine causes of data quality issues when defining business rulesParticipate in metadata management utilizing IBM Metadata Asset Manager and the IBM Information Governance Catalog to build out the business glossaryImplement data governance controls, procedures, and standardsDevelop and deliver presentations for department and senior leadershipQualifications & Experience:Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to work with users, peers, and managementAbility to work independently and as part of a team to successfully execute projectsHighly motivated, self-starter with problem-solving skillsAbility to multitask and meet aggressive deadlines efficiently and effectivelyExtraordinary attention to detail and accuracyDemonstrate the ability to learn and understand business processes quicklyProject Management experience a plus5+ years of experience with IBM Information Server Suite 11.xProficient with SQLProficient with Microsoft Office desktop tools (Word, Excel, etc.)Database experience a plus (i.e. Oracle, SQL Server, DB2)[Experience with JavaETL tools (DataStage, etc.)Discipline(s): Financial TechnologyJob type: Permanent
