As a Site Reliability Engineering Manager, responsibilities include: - Lead SRE teams responsible for reliability and performance of on-prem and cloud-based services - Leading and growing the engineers on your team - Manage staging and production environments with goal of maximizing availability - Promote observability of systems for monitoring, alerting, and metrics reporting - Advocate best practices of reliability engineering Minimum Qualifications10+ years experience with large scale distributed systemsDemonstrable success leading engineering teams - ideally SRE or Production EngineeringKnowledge of core operating system principles, networking fundamentals, and systems managementUnderstanding of SRE principals, including monitoring, alerting, error budgets, fault analysis, and other common reliability engineering conceptsStrong leadership capabilities, with excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.10+ years professional experience in an engineering leadership positionPreferred QualificationsBachelors or Master’s degree in computer science or equivalent field with 10+ years of experiencePay & BenefitsAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $252,400 and $378,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
