Title: Retirement Plan Services Group - Plan Termination Specialist
Location: Kansas City, MO, Braintree, MA, or Dublin, OH
Get To Know the Team
The Plan Services group is responsible for multiple tasks pertaining to abandoned plans and plan terminations. The Plan Termination Specialist coordinates activities and manages relationships with all Plan stakeholders as well as the Department of Labor (DOL). Specialists maintain a project plan and document each task with target dates, highlighting significant milestones, and monitoring the timeline to avoid risk; while managing client and/or plan sponsor expectations. Specialists coordinate the liquidation of participant assets once a plan is declared abandoned by the DOL, works with the Escheatment area when necessary, and updates plan settings when the plan termination is complete.

What You Will Get To Do:
- Lead small projects to ensure terminated and abandoned plans are properly closed
- Work collaboratively with management and internal teams to scope projects and schedule tasks
- Provide premier service to retirement plan institutional clients as well as plan sponsors, advisors, and TPAs
- Document Plan Termination and Abandoned Plan project requirements, notes, and other critical information to be shared with relevant business units
- Establish effective communications and change management activities for plan sponsors
What You Will Bring:
- Bachelor's degree or 2-5 years of experience in financial services or similar environment and 1-2 years project management
- Knowledge of retirement plan industry is preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Research, analytical and problem resolution skills
- Demonstrated project management experience
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to organize, plan, and prioritize to meet deadlines
- Able to work in the local office 6 days per month.
