The Data Governance Foundation Lead Analyst is a VP (C13) level position in Citi’s Chief Data Office (CDO) within the Chief Operating Office (COO) organization. The mandate of COO is to lead the Transformation efforts of the firm to deliver client excellence, improved operating efficiency and returns. As part of COO, the CDO organization is responsible for an enterprise-wide effort to transform and strengthen the firm’s data, modernize data infrastructure while simplifying the data operating model and executing the strategic priorities for the firm. The CDO defines and enforces data-related policies and standards across Citi and equips the firm with the tools required to take ownership and accountability for data governance and management. The CDO comprises of four functional groups: Business Aligned Data Leads, Core Data Delivery, Data Enablers, and Data Functions & Partners.ResponsibilitiesApplies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flows.Coordinates and contribute to the objectives of data governance initiatives and overall business through leveraging in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function.Conducts strategic data analysis, identifies insights and implications, and makes strategic recommendations, develops data displays that clearly communicate complex analysis.Development of robust & high-performance applications to serve as foundations for building web applicationsDesign, develop, and manage automated unit, integration and acceptance tests for all UI componentsDefine needs around maintainability, testability, performance, security, quality and usability for UI platformWork with the Business Analysts and Customers throughout the requirements process to properly understand the long-term goals of the program and where they fit in the overall UI infrastructureCommunication of new technologies, best practices, etc. to testers, and managersMines and analyzes data from various banking platforms to drive optimization and improve data quality.Use strong SQL skills to query databases, perform data wrangling, and sure the integrity of data analysis.Delivers analytics initiatives to address business problems with the ability to identify data required, assess time & effort required and establish a project plan.Consults with business clients to identify system functional specifications. Applies comprehensive understanding of how multiple areas collectively integrate to contribute towards achieving business goals.Consults with users and clients to solve complex system issues/problems through in-depth evaluation of business processes, systems, and industry standards; recommends solutions.Leads system change process from requirements through implementation; provides user and operational support of application to business usersFormulates and define systems scope and objectives for complex projects through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of applicable business systems and industry standards.Impacts the business directly by ensuring the quality of work provided by self and others; impacts own team and closely related work teams.Considers the business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment; identifies and communicates risks and impacts.Drives communication between business leaders and IT; exhibits sound and comprehensive communication and diplomacy skills to exchange complex information.Appropriately assesses risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.Experience7+ years’ experience using Data Visualization Tools (Tableau, Cognos, Microstrategy, Excel, etc.)Must have hands-on Experience in leading all phases of diverse technology projects with exceptional record overseeing all facets of Software Development Life Cycle, from analysis and design to implementation and maintenance.Strong programming background to create custom data insights and visualization solutions leveraging APIs and graphic libraries.SkillsStrong business-facing skillsGood working experience with Tableau and Angular developmentAbility to drive insight by designing Visualizations with Logical and meaningful data flowSynthesize and translate Business data needs into creative visualizations in TableauDemonstrated interpersonal, verbal and written communication skillsStrong analytics experience and strategically design, implement, and support Tableau software and systemsConducting trainings to the user community on enabling them on the next generation tool suite such as TableauExperience in agile and waterfall project management methodologies.Able to manage project teams and deliver high-quality that meet or exceed timeline and budgetary targets.Experience around REST APIs, services, and API authentication schemesKnowledge in RDBMS and NoSQL technologiesBusiness Intelligence and Data Analytics experiencePrior financial services or banking experiencePrevious experience with any other BI tools is a plusGood to have experience with content & security administrationAngular.JS 5 Development and React.JS Development expertise in a up to date Java Development Environment with AWS Cloud TechnologiesExposure and/or development experience in Microservices Architectures best practices, Java Spring Boot Framework (Preferred), Docker, KubernetesAutomation experience with tools such as Appian, a plusEducationBS/BA degree or equivalent combination of education/experience.Senior level experience in an Apps Development role.
