As a key member of the Marketing Department, the Consumer Insights Manager develops and executes high quality, qualitative & quantitative research, synthesizing learnings into compelling stories, and presenting insight- and data- informed recommendations to cross-functional partners across the organization. Responsibilities Lead custom qualitative & quantitative primary research. Push the boundaries of research to deliver narratives that are compelling, disruptive, and influential. Partner closely with New Product Development, Consumer Marketing, Creative, Commercial, Innovation, and other cross-functional partners to execute innovative custom research that provides a unique view into our consumers, helps build our new and existing platform narratives, and answers critical business questions to help drive strategy; guide consumer research objectives and market research plans needed to build a compelling brand story Make use of syndicated data (from sources like Nielsen and IRI), account-specific data, as well as consumer and shopper insights to provide regular summaries to internal teams on category, competitor, and Chobani performance. Analyze and summarize 3rd party reports to help create product-, category-, and industry-level insights and executive briefings. Leverage 1st party data, 3rd party/syndicated research, and primary research to uncover insights & create captivating external reports focusing on consumer behavior & larger industry trends to ultimately position Chobani as a thought leader in the industry. Be an internal source of expertise and excellence on research and insights, and the methods used to gain a greater understanding of our current & potential consumers Manage research partner relationships, roadmaps, and capabilities Manage the Marketing Insights budget Design and implement best-in-class research processes covering brand tracking & evaluation, innovation testing, current platform understanding, and creative testing. Manage, develop, and mentor team member(s), providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to foster their growth and maximize performance. Represent the voice of the consumer in cross-functional team meetings and decision making. Requirements Bachelor’s degree required, in relevant field a plus (marketing, business, consumer) 7+ years experience within CPG or consumer research/strategy agency. Data-driven storyteller, passionate about insights that inspire and drive action. Strong knowledge and proven application of a wide range of quantitative and qualitative research initiatives and methodologies to solve business objectives, including: survey development and execution, segmentation, advertising effectiveness, panel research, ethnography, focus groups, brand tracking, competitive intelligence, etc. Minimum 2+ years experience in marketing analysis (or previous experience as a category analyst) with specific knowledge of IRI and/or Nielsen. Consumer panel data experience preferred (Homescan, Oracle etc.). Experience in consumer packaged goods industry preferred. Proficient in multiple statistical methods, including linear regression, A/B testing, hypothesis testing, survey methods, etc. Experience working with 1st party data. Strong analytical skills required – including familiarity with tools for data querying, survey, and analysis: R/Python, SQL, Excel, SPSS, STATA Qualtrics/Decipher, Tableau, etc. Proven ability to weave primary research, 3rd party insights, and behavioral platform data together into a cohesive and compelling story of strategic importance. Outstanding written and oral communication skills, and experience presenting to large groups– you’re articulate and engaging, and able to bring your stories to life Proven leadership and strategic skills, including driving and owning short- and long-term projects First-rate interpersonal and communication skills, with proven ability to collaborate with and present persuasively to all levels of management and cross-functional partners; capable of building strong networks and working relationships by effectively influencing people that are cross-functional Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects against deadlines Experience building from scratch and working effectively in evolving, fluid and fast-paced entrepreneurial environments both independently and as a team player Must be ‘hands-on’ and like getting involved in the details with an analytical mindset Experience managing research vendors to deliver high-quality work on time and within budget. Self-starter with entrepreneurial spirit A passion, curiosity and natural interest for food Willingness to travel Advanced Microsoft Office skills (including but not limited to Excel, Word and Power Point). Proven analytical skills and ability to successfully integrate different streams of information into sound propositions. Keen attention to detail with high level of accuracy. Compensation Range: $121,600.00 - $182,400.00, plus bonus.
