A 123-bed level three trauma facility is seeking a urologist for locum tenens coverage. The facility is located in Oregon. The typical schedule for this position is as follows: Monday is dedicated to Day Surgery, Tuesday is a Hospital OR Day, Wednesday is an 8-hour clinic day, Thursday includes 4-5 hours in the clinic and 4-5 hours in Day Surgery or the Hospital OR, and Friday is another Hospital OR day. On average, the clinician sees 25-30 patients per day in the clinic. The number of cases on OR days varies based on complexity, usually ranging from 5 to 10 cases. Common clinic cases include new patients with BPH, prostate cancer, renal cancer, chronic UTIs, testicular pain, and urinary incontinence.
