Structural Design Engineer Position
Company Description:R-Mac Engineering & Construction Services is a small structural and construction consulting firm specializing in small commercial projects and custom residential projects of all sizes, cast-in-place gunite swimming pools and retaining walls. Design concepts include concrete foundation design, wood and steel framing design, tilt wall and mid-size commercial and pad site commercial design. Commercial and residential remodels and small scale forensic engineering.
Job Type: Full Time, In Person
Schedule: 8 hours, Monday – Friday
Job Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in Civil/Structural engineering or related discipline is required
Active P.E. License in Texas is required
Description:
We are currently seeking a self motivated Structural Engineer who will be responsible for structural engineering analysis and design of steel, concrete, masonry, light-gage steel, and wood structures and will participate in the production of structural construction documents, primarily using AutoCAD. The position requires the ability to work closely with architects, designers and owners and support staff, be able to communicate clearly (both in writing and verbally), conduct meetings with clients and builders in an expedient manner and move seamlessly between projects.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for structural design solutions to meet the clients’ program requirements through building system concepts, framing concepts, lateral design, framing design, foundation design, and specifications
Familiar with the structural design and detailing of concrete, steel, wood framing, and masonry building components
Responsible for the structural design and engineering production of assigned projects and/or the delegation of structural engineering tasks and coordination items when being assisted by other structural team members
Produce and/or supervise the production of AutoCAD construction documents
Coordinate structural construction drawings with Architectural, Civil, MEP, and other consultant as required
Provide drawings and/or sketches for designs to be incorporated in construction documents by design support staff, instruct or teach entry level drafters
Perform Structural Construction Administration tasks including, but not limited to site visits and assessments, field observations and reports, shop drawing reviews and response to project RFI’s
Ability to manage multiple projects with staggered project phases concurrently
Maintain project fluidity and effective completion times and meet deadlines
Conduct field observations and inspections with written field reports and photographs
Pay: $60,000-$120,000 Negotiable upon experience
